Isotonic Drinks: Rehydrate, Refuel & Stay Active

Ever wondered why athletes often reach for a sports drink after intense exercise?

Isotonic drinks are specially formulated to help replace fluids, electrolytes, and energy lost during prolonged or vigorous physical activity, making them a popular choice for active lifestyles.

📖 History/Origin

Isotonic drinks were developed in the 1960s to help athletes maintain hydration and performance during strenuous exercise. Researchers created beverages with a balance of water, carbohydrates, and electrolytes that closely matched the body's natural fluid concentration. Over time, these drinks became widely available and are now commonly used by athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and individuals participating in endurance activities.

📖 History/Origin

Massage has been practiced for thousands of years in ancient civilizations such as China, India, Egypt, and Greece to promote relaxation and overall well-being. Today, these tools are widely used by athletes, healthcare professionals, wellness centers, and individuals seeking convenient ways to support muscle recovery and relaxation.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the experience last night. I went in with no expectations and got so much out of it. Letting your body move without trying to restrict it can sometimes be a challenge.

I however had to remind myself that I was not the one doing it.

I do wonder though why it is my neck that seems to stretch back so much and spasm, is there any specific reason that certain areas move in such a way?

I look forward to the next session and finding out more about this modality.

Thank you very much for your feedback, I always find it exciting to learn how the individual experiences it and what changes through the sessions.

Regarding the neck movements, or the spasming, I can only say that I assume that the energy wants to work its way up through the spine and stays there again and again or there is still something to be dissolved until it flows completely freely. We know exactly these movements from the breathing technique of Dr. Joe, which was also derived from Kundalini breathing. Also in the meditations this happens again and again and also in AKAWA, the extreme bending of the spine backwards.

Also in an AKAWA session, it can happen that the body wants to go more and more into a bridge, exactly this belongs for me to the group of this kind of movements.

Ultimately, it is the beat that we recognize here. Which moves upwards. The energy wants to rise. I hope this helps you. I experienced it again this morning when I did the box medi from Dr. Joe. Sometimes it happens, then for a long time it doesn't.

Even when I start in a sitting position, the body starts to bend backwards, and it always starts with me with this engagement of the back of the head into the neck. And even though it hurts, I love it, it tells me it's going on and on. But if it doesn't work at all anymore, you can always get out of this state by your willful decision. It is always all in your free decision, how far you allow it.
